They have urgently called for officials to make tackling use of the drug a priority.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It&#8217;s a big public health and mental health problem, we think,&#8217; co-author Professor Andrea Cipriani, from the University of Oxford, said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The number of people who are exposed to cannabis, especially in this vulnerable age, is very high and I think this should be a priority for public health and the mental health sector.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The researchers, at McGill University and the University of Oxford, analysed data from 11 studies involving more than 23,000 individuals.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/health\/article-6700547\/Smoking-cannabis-teens-linked-depression-later-life-damages-brain.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">For complete article<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Largest study of its kind found that 7% of adult depression could be prevented Drug has also been linked to suicidal thoughts and attempts&nbsp;
