Middlekauff et al demonstrated that <a href=\"https:\/\/dbrecoveryresources.cmail19.com\/t\/i-l-cakyjk-ckdatru-ki\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vaping is associated with adverse changes in the body<\/a> that can presage future health problems<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-1264\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dalgarnoinstitute.org.au\/wp_site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/teen.jpg\" alt=\"teen\" width=\"350\" height=\"218\" style=\"margin-left: 40px; margin-bottom: 40px; float: right;\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dalgarnoinstitute.org.au\/wp_site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/teen.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.dalgarnoinstitute.org.au\/wp_site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/teen-300x187.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/>Like tobacco cigarette (TCIG) smoking, long-term electronic cigarette (ECIG) vaping in young people is associated with elevated cellular oxidative stress (COS), which is important in the pathogenesis of many diseases, including atherosclerosis.<sup>1<\/sup>&nbsp;As with TCIG smoking,<sup>2<\/sup>&nbsp;even infrequent ECIG use may be associated with adverse biological effects with implications for future health risks.
