Minority and poor communities have historically been disproportionately harmed by drug use, drug normalization, and drug addiction. Each of those and many other problems gets worse with pot legalization. 

Marijuana legalization:

• Increases marijuana-related arrests  
• Enriches white marijuana business drug dealers
• Increases the use and arrests for the use of other drugs
• Increases the rates of educational dropouts
• Increases homelessness in the area of legalization and commercialization
• Doesn’t reduce the black market but rather increases it.
• Sends the wrong message to kids and young adults that drug use is ok because the “adults” have condoned and even encourage it.
